Recording Playback
IC Realtime TV can play back recordings stored on your cameras' onboard storage (SD cards). This lets you review past events directly on your Apple TV.
Requirements
- The camera must have an SD card or onboard storage installed.
- The camera must be authenticated (credentials entered in the app).
- Not all camera models support onboard recording — check your camera's specifications.
Accessing Recordings
There are two ways to access recordings:
From an Event
- Go to the Events tab.
- Select an event from the history.
- Press Watch Recording to jump directly to the recording around the time of that event.
Manual Browse
- Go to the Events tab.
- Select Browse Recording History for a specific camera.
- Use the date picker to select a date.
- The app displays all recording segments found for that date.
- Select a segment to begin playback.
Playback Controls
The playback player supports:
- Play / Pause — Start and stop playback.
- Timeline scrubber — Drag to seek to any point in the recording.
- Frame-by-frame navigation — Step forward or backward one frame at a time.
- Speed controls — Adjust playback speed.
- Camera info overlay — View camera details while playing.
Tips
- Recording availability depends on your camera's storage capacity and retention settings. Older recordings may be overwritten as the SD card fills up.
- For the best playback experience, ensure your Apple TV has a strong network connection to the camera.
