Navigating with the Siri Remote
IC Realtime TV is designed for the Apple TV Siri Remote. Here's how the remote controls map to the app.
Basic Navigation
| Remote Action | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Swipe / Click Pad | Move focus between cameras, buttons, and menu items |
| Press Select (center) | Open the focused item — camera, button, or menu option |
| Press Menu (< button) | Go back to the previous screen, or dismiss an overlay |
| Press TV/Home | Return to the Apple TV home screen |
Tab Navigation
The app has five main tabs along the bottom of the screen: Home, Live, Events, Map, and Settings. Swipe down from any screen to reveal the tab bar, then swipe left or right to switch tabs.
Camera Grid Controls
- Swipe to move focus between camera tiles.
- Press Select on a camera tile to open it in the full-screen player.
- Long-press Select on a tile to enter reorder mode, then select another tile to swap their positions.
Full-Screen Player Controls
- Swipe Left / Right to cycle through cameras.
- Press Select to toggle the info overlay (camera name, stats, navigation hints).
- Press Menu to exit back to the grid.
Site Map Controls
- Swipe to pan across the map canvas.
- Press Select on a camera pin for details or to open the camera's live feed.
Tips
- The clickpad on the Siri Remote (2nd generation and later) supports both swipes and directional clicks. Either works throughout the app.
- If you're using an older Siri Remote (1st generation), the glass touch surface works the same way — swipe to navigate, click to select.
- You can also pair a Bluetooth game controller for navigation if preferred.
