Field Impact Notice - IC Now Legacy P2P Access

Summary & Symptoms


We’ve identified a compatibility limitation between IC Now versions and recorder firmware generations.

The latest version of IC Now may not connect to recorders running firmware older than Q3 2025 when using P2P access. In these cases, users may be able to log in, but video may fail to load or the system may not fully connect.

This issue is limited to P2P connections within the desktop application (Windows and Mac). Mobile app access and direct connections using IP address or domain are not impacted.

Additionally, recorders designed for use with the current version of IC Now are not supported on older builds of the software, including the July 2024 version. These systems rely on newer account infrastructure that is not present in earlier releases.

As a result, older and newer systems cannot be used within the same software version.

 

Workaround

For recorders running firmware older than Q3 2025, use the July 2024 build of IC Now:
