Applies to IC Secure Updated 3 min read

IC Secure (Desktop) uses one interface for live view, reviewing footage, device management, and system settings.. This article explains the main areas of the desktop interface and what each area is used for.

Main Window Overview

The interface is divided into four primary areas.

Area Description
Main Toolbar The horizontal bar across the top of the window. Use this area to switch between major views, including Live View, Search, E-Map, Device Management, and Settings.
Camera Tree Panel The vertical panel on the left side of the window. This area lists connected cameras and substations organized by group. Cameras can be dragged from this panel into the view area.
View Area The main area in the center of the window. This area changes based on the selected mode, such as Live View, Replay, or E-Map.
Replay Control Panel A collapsible panel at the bottom of the window used for replay controls. This panel is closed by default.

Substations appear as separate entries in the device tree. Expand a substation to view the cameras assigned to it.

Drag a camera from the tree into the view area to open its live feed.
