Changing Connection Settings in IC Secure Mobile

Applies to IC Secure Updated 2 min read

IC Secure Mobile allows connection settings to be reviewed or updated from the configuration screen. These settings control how the app connects to a server or camera.

Opening Configuration

To open configuration:

  1. Open the server or camera in Liveview.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap Configuration.

The Configuration screen opens for the selected server or camera.

Configuration Sections

The available fields depend on the selected server or camera.

Section Description
MODEL NAME Shows the model name reported by the selected server or camera.
DEVICE NAME The name shown for the server or camera in IC Secure Mobile.
CONNECTION Includes connection details such as address, port, and encrypted connection.
ACCOUNT Includes the username and password used by the app to connect.

Connection Fields

The connection section controls how IC Secure Mobile reaches the selected server or camera.

Field Description
Address The IP address or hostname used to reach the server or camera.
Port The connection port used by IC Secure Mobile.
Encrypted Connection Enables encrypted connection mode when supported and configured for the server or camera.

Account Fields

The account section controls the login credentials used by IC Secure Mobile.

Field Description
Username The username used to connect to the server or camera.
Password The password used to connect to the server or camera.

Applying Changes

To update connection settings:

  1. Open Configuration for the server or camera.
  2. Update the required fields.
  3. Tap Apply.

If the updated settings are correct, IC Secure Mobile reconnects using the new information.

If the server or camera does not reconnect, confirm the address, port, encrypted connection setting, username, and password.

Encrypted Connection

Use Encrypted Connection only when the selected server or camera is configured to support it.

If encrypted connection is enabled in the app but not supported or configured on the server or camera, the connection may fail. Confirm the correct setting with your installer or system administrator.

Remote Access

If connecting from outside the local network, remote access must be configured before IC Secure Mobile can connect.

Remote access requirements depend on the site network and security policy. Contact the installer or network administrator to confirm the correct address, port, and approved remote access method.
